Creative Challenges and Quality Tests

I am really struggling. I have a great idea - my kids are obsessed with the putting together designs and patterns. They love coming up with absurd images to put on clothing (seriously - have you seen the farting dino? It's hilarious and my absolute favorite image ever). We adore spending time together. They love helping me remove the vinyl backing so I can then press the designs onto the garments. My older one is like a dragon, eagerly waiting to grow up so she can fully embrace her fire-resistant powers and manage the heat press.

The problem is the lack of consistency with my suppliers. We come up with the twirl dress design and the image we want on them. I then send the dress design to the factory with the sizing so they can make our specific garment.

Since starting our company, I have tried various suppliers and I just can't sell the garments that they deliver because the quality is so poor. Every single dress that is on my website is a dress that my family wears. I refuse to sell anyone anything that I (or the kids) won't wear.

I'm not really certain where to go from here. I have one supplier that makes really great quality twirl dresses (for kids and adults), but they are terrible at tutus and they can only consistently make one style of dress. After trying five different tutu dress makers, I reached out to the one supplier to see if they could make tutu dresses. They came up with two pretty nice tutu dresses, two for kids and a matching one for adults, and although we are happy with the quality, it wasn't exactly what we were hoping for.

The amount of money I have spent is way more than I ever expected but I truly believe that what I'm doing is special. The kids love wearing their custom made clothing and I plan on continuing to look for those factories that can make our dream into reality.
